More about Emmy from her Website:
I have been surfing for 5 years and enter numerous competitions. I also enjoy outrigger canoes, as well as, stand up paddling.
In addition to my surfing, I am a good student. My combined G.P.A. at San Clemente High School is 4.0. I believe it is possible to be an accomplished surfer, an all-around water-person and an outstanding student at the same time.
My goal this next year is to make the Surfing America USA surf team and represent my country. I would also like to help my school (San Clemente High School) win a National title. I would like to promote my sponsors, Uncle Mike surfboards and Point Conception, as well as, pursue some other sponsorship opportunities. I would like to compete in more contests and races.
As an active community volunteer, I believe I can promote a positive image for the surf industry. I work hard to improve my surfing and the results will reflect that. My work ethic and drive should be evident in my accomplishments. I strive to be the best both athletically and academically. I try excelling in many areas in the water-sports arena. Although surfing is my main goal, this diversity appeals to a much larger audience.
