So here’s a funny one that just popped on Facebook (thanks Surfing Mag!) …

It’s not often that the celeb-gossip show TMZ puts a spotlight on surfers, but the camera crew ran into surfer Garrett McNamara and his girlfriend recently and had a pretty awkward moment when they asked which he preferred: big waves, or sex with his girlfriend.

Stumbling and stalling, McNamara responded: “I love giant waves… and I love Nicole… They are right about… the same,” he responded awkwardly.

If you recall, McNamara a few months ago took on what many think is a record for the biggest wave ever ridden. Most of us have no idea what that feels like …

So of course we have to ask :

Think his girlfriend broke up with him yet? Let’s hope they can laugh this one off.
