The World’s top 45 surfers just finished up the third stop of the ASP World Championship Tour in Brazil.
It looks like 9-Time World Champion Kelly Slater is well on his way to a tenth world title. The Quiksilver team rider has a solid lead in the ratings with 21,750 points followed by South Africa’s Jordy Smith who has 18,500 points.
Slater opened up the 2010 WCT season with a 9th place finish at event number one, a win at Bells Beach and a second in Brazil. The best surfers in the world now have more than two months off before the next Dream Tour competition.
The Billabong Pro Jeffreys Bay takes places in South Africa at one of the world’s most famous right hand point breaks. That contest has a waiting period from July 15th through the 25th. For all the latest asp news, check out aspworldtour.com.
