Well it goes to show that the sport of surfing is becoming more and more mainstream when you have major corporations sponsoring top athletes.
Just this week a giant retail chain signed one of the hottest up and coming girl surfers.
Oahu’s Carissa Moore inked a huge deal with Target and will be sporting the red and white circle logo on all of her surfboards. “I love target and I am honored to make my relationship with them official,” said Carissa.
“Target opened two stores in Hawaii this year and it’s been great to have one some close to home. I’m really excited and am looking forward to working together. I know we’ll have a lot of fun.
The 16-year old is an 11-time National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA) National Champion and is currently tied for first place in the ASP Women’s World Qualifying Series. Moore’s other sponsors include Red Bull and Nike 6.0.
