If you’re one of the many who couldn’t attend one of the biggest nights in professional surfing, then check this out.  The 8th Annual Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards were handed out a couple of months ago at the Grove Theatre in Anaheim.  But on Thursday May 29th the academy awards of big wave surfing will air on ESPN 2 at 9:30 PST.  Check your local listings for the correct channel in your area.  And if you’re not going to be home, don’t forget to set those Tivo’s.
